Lots ‘n’ Lotsa Liquid Lacquers!
Yay to balmy, glossy liquid lipsticks that are high on pigmentation and low on stickiness. Especially on days when your lips need some TLC and those heavy matte liquids (though I do love them) can make your puckers look leathery and wrinkled like an elephant’s knee.
I’m a fan of Shiseido’s classic Lacquer Rouges for nourishing like balms, shining like glosses, and having enough pigmentation to go on like lightweight liquid lipsticks without needing to be layered over liner etc.
So when they launched new lip lacquers in both their prestige line (Clé de Peau Radiant Liquid Rouge) and drugstore line (ZA Vibrant Moist Lip Lacquer), I was honestly over the moon. The two lines are quite different despite them both being under the Shiseido umbrella. Vibrant pigments and lightweight textures are about the only commonalities.
If you’re in Asia, or you just love exploring Asian beauty brands, check out my first impressions and swatches of some of the shades in the two new lines!
