Shu Uemura Eye-Conic 30th Anniversary Collection
Shu Uemura celebrates the 30th anniversary of its very first commercial boutique in Omotesando, Japan, with a throw-back to bohemian 60’s complete with swirl theme and delicious marshmallowy colors!
The collection features a limited edition customizable Colour Atelier palette called Fuchsia-Fusion that fits either the limited edition or regular pan products. There are also some cute half-strip lashes with rhinestones and the most BEAUTIFUL strip lashes with a multi-colored cloth band that look like textured eyeliner.
Prices may vary by country and tax rates; I’m unable to locate prices for US currently, but here is what info I could find!

Which brings me to the swatches below. I don’t have all the colors so I’m only showing 2 shadows,1 blush and 2 lipsticks which were provided for review!
All triplecolour shadows feature a highlight shade, a main shade, and one glittery accent you can use alongside or layer on top of the other 2 for different effects. I would personally go for the mauve trio (wearable but not boring), but that orange is really something!
The glittery accent shades are kinda like MAC’s Lustres (more sparkle than color), but you don’t get as much fallout. I’d just skip the sparkle for work or school.
The blush isn’t as shimmery as I’d imagined. In fact, the main color is a satin and the highlight is a subtle pearl. Good news for those of us not keen to highlight facial pores!
Now lipsticks!
I love mattes in general. They’re pigmented and look like swatches of velvet on the lips when you apply them full-concentration. Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte lipsticks are one of the “weightless mattes"; kinda like some of MAC’s newer formulas. You get great payoff in one stroke, although the lighter texture also means some of the bright or light shades can look a little uneven if you don’t pat them out properly. (They aren’t as full-on opaque as some mattes.)
Supreme Mattes are known for a really plush, lightweight texture. (One blogger called it “mousse-like" and she’s right.) They previously never had that many interesting or “must-go-check-out" kind of shades released in Asia, in my opinion, but the new collection includes a pretty light pink (M pink 345) and a fuchsia (M pink 356) that I’ll definitely need to check out soon.
THAT gorgeous coral-pink baby on the left got my heart thumping… do you remember the elusive, hard-to-locate Supreme Mattelipstick some of you wrote in to ask me about, called Evil Pink? Well, it has a twin called pink 355.
I can’t really see much difference between these, so if you can’t locate Evil Pink in your country, CHECK THIS ONE OUT NOW!
M beige 955 is a dusky rose-toned brown. Browns don’t really sit well on my skin, but if you have medium to tan skin and you’re looking for a dusky neutral that isn’t too beige or too plummy, this is a shade to try!
