Super Simple Silver Nails for the Week: Sally Hansen Celeb City

This is probably my absolute favorite silver polish in the world. It’s not just that it’s a beautiful brushed chrome platinum that looks gorgeous and goes on smooth and rich in 2 coats.
It’s also that it is cheap and accessible.
To accompany the foiled silver nails, I dug out a pair of gold metallic ribbons with white crystals down the center, that just went well with the silver nails for a bit of girly precious-metal glam. (Take note you can recreate this look with any other metallic nail art piece you like. But it should be bright and metallic, or it will look dull against the bright silver.)
Tips:
- I mentioned this before, but if you don’t have nail glue handy, just look for your run-of-the-mill super glue. They’re both made up of the same stuff.
- Don’t apply too much glue. That doesn’t make it stick on stronger. A very small amount will dry quicker and firmer, and ironically, help your nail art last longer.
- Let the drop of glue sit on the ribbon for about 15-20 seconds to get slightly tackier before applying to the nails, or your nail art might slide around.
Nail art pieces stuck on with nail glue or super glue come off easily in regular nail polish removers. Just wrap your finger in a cotton pad soaked in acetone for about 10-15 seconds and then gently push at the edges of the nail art piece to lift off. The acetone will soften the glue sufficiently for you to remove the piece.
Don’t try to rip nail art off without remover or you can damage your nail or worse - injure yourself!
